Illustration and design for a social awareness project.

Project Overview
Award-winning musician and songwriter, Bobby Bullet St. Germaine channeled his talents into this project to raise awareness about the ongoing international epidemic of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls (MMIW&G).

Karen Ann Hoffman wrote the introduction and shares tribute poem and artwork titled, Never Alone, created with Dawn Dark Mountain. Many other native and non-native artists, writers, and performers contributed to the project underscoring the seriousness and impact of this egregious issue.

Concept
The illustration of flowers having their lives cut short evolved from an original idea by Bobby. By using multiple flowers, in different stages of bloom — most faded into the background — I tried to communicate the fact that tragically, there are numerous cases, from multiple regions and tribes, many unsolved. This has been happening for decades.
